yay! It's almost my weekend. It's going to be busy, though. Jennifer, Rob and Jenna are coming through on their way back from a conference in Miami.

I am really looking forward to this (not that I don't look forward to seeing anyone else coming through!). I am looking forward to spending time with them--Jennifer falls into the "old family friends" category and until October, I hadn't seen her since about 1977!

*STAND BACK*

Sorry, but I must go off on this tirade.

Large ferryboats which are 120 ft in length, 35 feet wide, and weigh 190 tons DO NOT (yes, I repeat) DO NOT stop on a dime...even when not going full speed. When a person's job includes keeping recreational boats away from a boat that size, whether moving or not, one would think that they would do just that (since they do very little else). BUT NO.....instead, let's pull right in front of said moving ferryboat, STOP about 20-25 ft ahead of it (as though his boat will protect the other boats and stop the big ferryboat) and LET A SMALL RECREATIONAL VESSEL drive between big, bad ferryboat and whimpy, little whaler patrol boat!! I really don't want to have to fill out the paperwork when we hit one of these recreational boats b/c the patrol boats can't get their heads out of their collective asses!

On a better note, taxes are done, e-filed, and crossing fingers they'll be direct deposited in the next 10 days!

I am *finally* (hopefully) going to get some peace and quiet. I have people who live above me, in a one bedroom apt--three people (...oooh! I didn't want to be a b*tch and turn them in, so I will leave instead), who have no idea exactly how loud they are. Saying that they sound like a herd of elephants is an understatement. I looked at a couple other apartment complexes, but decided to just stay in this place, but move over to the newer part of the complex where you get such luxuries as dishwashers and lots and lots of closets! Most importantly, I am going to be on the top floor. Pain to move in and to haul groceries, but *aaaaaaaaahhhhh* nice and quiet!

The only book which doesn't take place in Narnia at all, per se, you're the story of a voyage to find the end of the world and hopefully the Seven Lost Lords (remember Rhoop!). You contain some of the most unique people and places and beautiful descriptions of the whole series.

Find out which Chronicles of Narnia book you are. Site Meter
